Our Company
DJWA, located in Philomath, Oregon, is owned and operated by Daniel J. Warren. Dan has worked in this field since 1977 and established his own company in 2003. DJWA specializes in complex natural resources projects throughout the Pacific Northwest and provides services in:

The company has worked for a variety of clients on numerous projects involving planning, review, development and evaluation of salmonid hatchery programs and other fisheries projects, stream restoration, environmental assessments and impact statements, and managing independent scientific reviews. DJWA assembles multi-disciplinary teams of respected professionals who are experienced in problem-solving, project development, and implementation.
DJWA has extensive experience with Bonneville Power Administration (BPA) projects, especially those involving the Northwest Power and Conservation Council’s (NPCC) Fish and Wildlife Program and associated processes as well as BPA budgeting and contracting processes and requirements.

D.J. Warren & Associates, Inc. recently worked with the Hatchery Scientific Review Group in reviewing the Elwha River Fish Restoration Plan and associated Hatchery and Genetic Management Plans. The review was done in response to a request from the Lower Elwha Klallam Tribe and Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife to assess the benefits and risks of the proposed programs for re-establishing self-sustaining populations of five species of anadromous fish (Chinook, coho, chum, and pink salmon and steelhead) in the Elwha River Basin.
D. J. Warren & Associates, Inc. partnered with McMillen, LLC to complete a Master Plan for the Springfield Sockeye Hatchery in November, 2010. We are currently completing preliminary and final designs and operations planning. The program supports conservation of Snake River Sockeye. The biological goal of the program is to increase the number of adult salmon spawning naturally in the system.
